Tammie Harwin
Consultant & Director
Since setting up my own consultancy in 2016 I have worked on a wide variety of projects for clients. I have worked with a number of trailblazer groups to successfully facilitate the development of new apprenticeship standards; supported organisations such as universities and professional bodies engage and design their apprenticeship offer; delivered focussed workshops for training organisations; for example on effective employer engagement and commercialisation in the current climate; and supported employers and partner organisations to understand the best way to utilise the apprenticeship levy; plus a wide range of other bespoke projects. I strive to deliver the best outcomes for clients with tailored projects to suit them.

A bit of background....
In April 2016 I decided to leave Government after a fantastic 8 years, to use my expertise to support businesses directly. I am able to help your business navigate government skills policy, whilst also ensuring your apprenticeship and skills programmes work for you and provide the return on investment they should.
During my time working at the Skills Funding Agency I have always been employer focused, and have engaged and advised some of the UK's largest businesses, and key industry partners, on the government skills agenda, working with them to develop successful apprenticeship programmes. I have the advantage of having worked with and in, both the public and private sector, plus many intermediary and professional bodies. My final role with the SFA was supporting then implementation of the Government's Apprenticeship Reforms, working directly with the 'trailblazer' employer groups and sector stakeholders to develop the new apprenticeship standards. I was actively involved in the Reforms policy development, including the new apprenticeship levy. This gives me invaluable experience to help you to implement the changes needed to be ready for the apprenticeship reforms and introduce the new apprenticeship standards. My first hand experience of working with the trailblazer groups designing the new standards means I have real insight on how the new standards work.
Prior to that I was an national account manager working with the Skills Funding Agency's direct grant employers. I specialised in new business development, engaging at strategic level with very large businesses. I supported those businesses to implement and grow successful large scale apprenticeship programmes. I was always focussed on ensuring those programmes delivered return on investment for those employers.
This experience provides me with invaluable knowledge and skills to help and advise your business on all aspects of apprenticeships, the reforms and the new levy. Whether you are an employer affected by the levy or a training provider getting ready to deliver the new standards I can help you. I'm more than happy to have an introductory phone call to discuss how I might be able to support you, so get in touch!
